Building & Grounds
Overview
The Building & Grounds Worker Program is a continuum of competency-based courses that prepares trainees for entry-level supervisory positions of school custodial staff.
Instruction includes practical training in the management of custodial personnel; in-depth understanding of time and motion studies; equitible workload scheduling; scheduling of routine cleaning; scheduling of nonroutine cleaning.
Training in principles of supervision, inspection of buildings and grounds, record keeping, and management of personnel is provided.
The program is designed to prepare individuals for California's licensing examinations.

Building & Grounds Worker Program Prerequisites:
- Employment-level English competency
- Must read, write, speak and listen well in English
