Program Qualifications

To qualify for the program, students must request assistance and provide verification of their disability. Disabilities may include but are not limited to: physical disabilities, hearing impairments, and vision loss. Also served are students with learning and emotional disabilities, a history of substance abuse, and other disabling health conditions.

Individuals with an individualized education plan (IEP)
CA Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) clients
LA County Department of Mental Health (DMH) clients
Supplemental Security Income (SSI) / Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) recipients
Los Angeles Unified Office of Transition Services students

Enrollment Process

Stop by the DSS Office or CLICK HERE to add your name to the interest list
Fill out DSS paperwork
Create a DACE-SIS account - CLICK HERE
Register for STEP/Orientation class (Reading and Math Assessments - 3 days total)
Make an appointment with the DSS advisor
