Barber Crossover
Overview
The Barber Crossover Program consists of 1 competency-based course. Fully approved by the California State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology, (CSBBC,)* this program is designed to prepare individuals for California's licensing examinations. Students will receive hands-on instruction and practical experience for the following techniques and procedures:
- Preparing the client's hair for shaving
- Assessing the condition of the client's skin
- Performing shaving techniques
- Applying after-shave antiseptic following facial services
- Massaging the client's face
- Rolling cream massages

Course Prerequisites:
- Valid California Cosmetology License or Proof of Training Hours
- 1600 training hours (old module)
- 1000 training hours (new module)
- Completion of 10th grade (or equivalent)
Required Documents:
These original, physical documents must also be presented. (Copies or images are not acceptable.)
- Social Security Card (signed) AND
- One of the following:
- State ID
- Driver's License
- Passport
- Valid California Cosmetology License or Proof of Training Hours (as described above)
* Fully approved by the California State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology (CSBBC), pursuant to Section 7316 of the Barbering and Cosmetology Act.
