Barber Crossover

Overview

The Barber Crossover Program consists 1 competency-based course. Fully approved by the California State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology, (CSBBC,)* this program is designed to prepare individuals for California's licensing examinations. Students will receive hands-on instruction and practical experience for the following techniques and procedures:
  • Preparing the client's hair for shaving
  • Assessing the condition of the client's skin
  • Performing shaving techniques
  • Applying after-shave antiseptic following facial services
  • Massaging the client's face
  • Rolling cream massages
 
Cost of Tuition: FREE
Total Program Hours: 200+
Barber Crossover Program Prerequisites:    
  • Valid California Cosmetology License or Proof of Training Hours
    • 1600 training hours (old module)
    • 1000 training hours (new module)
  • Completion of 10th grade (or equivalent)
 
Prerequisite Documents:
These original, physical documents must also be presented. (Copies or images are not acceptable.)
  1. Social Security Card (signed) AND
  2. One of the following: 
    • State ID
    • Driver's License
    • Passport
  3. Valid California Cosmetology License or Proof of Training Hours (as described above)
