Medical Office Administration
Overview
MEDICAL OFFICE ADMINISTRATION 1: TERMINOLOGY
This is the first course in a series of five designed for medical office administration, preparing students for employment in health-related fields. Students will develop the ability to understand the language of medicine through learning word parts relating to body systems, including word building, analysis of terms, spelling and pronunciation.
PREREQUISITES:
- Typing 30 wpm and Computer Foundations are highly recommended.

MEDICAL OFFICE ADMINISTRATION /2: FRONT OFFICE
This is the second course in a series of five designed for medical office administration, preparing students for employment in health-related fields. Instruction includes appointment scheduling, patient reception and registration, and management of healthcare information.
PREREQUISITES:
- MOA 1 Certificate of Completion

MEDICAL OFFICE ADMINISTRATION /3: INSURANCE AND BILLING
This is the third course in a series of five designed for medical office administration, preparing students for employment in health-related fields. It provides students wit project-based experiences in insurance and billing. Instruction includes coding, group/private insurance plans, government plans, and disability/liability insurance.
PREREQUISITES:
- MOA 2 Certificate of Completion

NOTES:
- Separate costs for books, exams, supplies, preparation, certifications and/or licenses provided by outside vendors may be incured.
