Overview
The Cosmetology Program is California State Board-approved* and designed to prepare individuals for California's licensing examinations. Students will receive competency-based, hands-on instruction and practical experience. Program topics include: State regulations, basic chemistry, health and safety, hazardous substances, electricity, bacteriology, infection control, sanitation, anatomy and physiology. It emphasizes techniques used in the care and beautification of hair, skin, and nails.

Cosmetology Program Prerequisites:
- Completion of 10th grade (or equivalent)
- Completion of CTE STEP Course
Other Required Documents:
- 1 Social Security Card (no copies)
- Must be signed
- 1 Government-issued Photo ID (no copies):
- State ID (OR)
- Drivers License (OR)
- Passport
*Fully approved by the California State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology, (CSBBC,) pursuant to Section 7316 of the Barbering and Cosmetology Act.
